So there is a hike that is only about 2 miles from my house that I have been wanting to do.  Its really rather a short hike but it goes straight up.  So my son and I decided to get out and get some fresh air.  We drove over to the start of Battle Mountain Trail.

In the below image, far off into the distance you will see two of the most popular hikes in San Diego area.  One which I think might be the most popular is Potatoe Chip Rock and then the other is Iron Mountain.

This is a picture of Lake Hodges.  I have been lucky to have done many hikes over in that area.  It’s really so much fun to hike in.  There is so much to see I’m not even sure I have seen it all.
