If there is one person I would have loved to have met when they were alive it would have been John Muir. His love of nature has influenced me and how I love to get outdoors and into nature.
John Muir is Internationally recognized as one of the most important early leaders in the Conservation Movement in the United States. He resided in this house for the last 24 years of his life, from 1880 to 1914. John Muir was a huge influence in the establishment and expansion of some of the nation’s greatest national parks and sites, including Yosemite, Sequoia, Grand Canyon, and Mt. Rainier National Parks.

When you walk into the house you will see the following stairs. These stairs are just gorgeous.
Below is John Muir’s Bed and room.
Below is John Muir’s Office. When I was standing there and looking around the room. It made me really wonder how much writing he did in this room.
So after touring the house we walked out on the the grounds. There was a lot to see, there was a huge fruit field. The wagon below is inside the small barn that is on the grounds.
Inside the visitor center is a statue of John Muir.
